Landscapes

I live in the heart of the West Pennine Moors and find much of my painting time is spent in the high moorlands and rolling countryside of this part of Lancashire. My inspirations come from the natural forms and colours and from the weather (constantly changing!). This part of Lancashire is full of areas of incredible beauty, often just a mile or so from the towns and cities and little known to outsiders. Areas such as Rivington, Winter Hill, Tockholes, White Coppice and Heapey are within a short drive of towns such as Blackburn, Bolton, Chorley, Horwich and Darwen - and are often only know to local residents. So most days its very easy to find the peace, quiet and isolation normally associated with the Lake District or the Ribble Valley. Don't forget that I can also be commissioned to create a painting based on your favourite landscape.
