Lancashire

It's where I live, so I suppose there's bound to be more paintings in this category than in any other. To me Lancashire is one of England's most exciting counties for an artist - the contrast between the inner cities, industry, the old mill buildings, new loft apartments and the gentrle rolling countryside and wild moorland can't help but provide inspiration for an artist. Many of these paintings are of subjects found around the towns of Bolton, Chorley, Blackburn, Darwen and Horwich, but I also roam further afield, towards the Ribble Valley, Blackpool and Southport.
